Data Skills test- Burglary statistics
The latest crime figures were recently published by the home office and tell you everything about burglars- including how many homeowners come into contact with them.
The interactive graph below shows how some of the statistics on burglary have changed over the past 8 years.
The data, collected from the guardian data store, details the percentage of homeowners that came into contact with burglars and those that did not.
Click on the different years in the left hand column to see what those changes look like.
Hover over each different heading at the bottom to get a specific percentage.

Practice data test
Having downloaded data about fixed penalty notices for littering, I created a chart using google docs to show the amount of money that councils in lancashire collected. Not all the councils gave the information therefore the chart shows results for those that did.
I created the chart by selecting the councils that sit under the Lancashire umbrella and making a new spreadsheet with this information.
